MBC - Core Values

GOD'S WORD - We are committed to the authority and sufficiency of the Scriptures and show
this in our attention to the preaching, teaching and daily application of the Word. (Psalm 138:2; II Tim.
3:16-17)

LOST MANKIND - We are determined to grow in our passion for lost mankind and will work to
impact our community and the world with His goodness and His gospel. (Matt. 28:19-20; Acts 1:8)

BUILDING SAINTS - We believe that God uses spiritual relationships to help us grow.
Therefore we are intentional in building relationships that build saints both among peers and between
generations. (Eph. 4:11-16; Titus 2:4-8)

PRAYER - We see corporate prayer as crucial in the life of the church. We are committed to prayer
as a declaration of our dependence on God and our glad communion with Him. (Acts 2:42; Luke 19:46)

HONORING GOD - We believe we exist for God's glory, and our attitudes and actions are to
delight and honor Him. We are committed to strengthening one another in this by joyful corporate
worship, active involvement, generous giving of talents and resources, and the pusuit of holiness. (Rev.
4:11; I Cor. 12; II Cor. 5:9)

FAMILY - We hold the Biblical picture of the family as essential, and are committed to its support
and nurture through our teaching, exampleship, scheduling, and resources. We see this picture extending
beyond the nuclear family to the church and are therefore devoted to live as a family of believers. (Gen.
2:18; Deut. 6:4-7; Eph. 5:22-6:4; I Tim. 5:1-2)
