Andrew Shearer

Lead Pastor

Pastor Shearer has been married since 1997 to his wife Sarah and has six children. He had the joy of growing up in Cedarville, Ohio and graduating with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering at Cedarville University in 1994. He worked in the aerospace industry for 13 years at Boeing Satellite Systems in Los Angeles, California. While he was there, he attended The Master’s Seminary in Sun Valley and graduated in 2006. He has been in pastoral ministry since 2007, first in Aurora, Illinois and then in southern Ohio. He came to Maranatha Baptist in April 2016 and is thrilled to be part of the church family.

Pastor Shearer’s favorite verse is found in Joshua 1:8-9 which says, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have not I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Be not afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord you God is with you wherever you go.”
