Andy Hays

Andy has been worshipping at Maranatha since 2015 and has served as a deacon since 2019. He is blessed with his wife Erin and 4 children. Andy works for the City of Marysville as a Lieutenant Firefighter and Paramedic. Andy serves our church body by leading the outreach and men's basketball ministry.

A passage of Scripture that encourages Andy is Ephesians 2: 8-9 “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith.  And this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast.”  Much of Andy’s life, he believed that he had to earn his salvation and right standing with God.  This passage was one of the first to make clear to him that salvation is solely a gift from God and not about good works.  He realized that this is possible only through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross.
