Jack MacKeverican
Deacon
Jack has been worshipping at Maranatha since 1988 and has served as a deacon since 1990. He is blessed with his wife Grace, 5 children, and 16 grandchildren. Jack recently retired from Armstrong Flooring. He serves our church body as the vice chairman of the deacon board. He also oversees membership and is part of the missions committee.
A passage of Scripture that encourages Jack is Jeremiah 29:11 which states “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. Jack’s first wife was diagnosed with incurable cancer at age 29. God used this verse, His Word, and godly people to help him through this difficult time. After her death, Jack knew God had a plan for his future. Within a year, God drew Jack and his wife Grace together. They have been happily married for 40 years. God is good all the time!
