Andrew Shearer

Pastor Shearer has been married since 1997 to his wife Sarah and has six children. He had the joy of growing up in Cedarville, Ohio and graduating with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering at Cedarville University in 1994. He worked in the aerospace industry for 13 years at Boeing Satellite Systems in Los Angeles, California. While he was there he attended The Master’s Seminary in Sun Valley and graduated in 2006. He has been in pastoral ministry since 2007, first in Aurora, Illinois and then in southern Ohio. He came to Maranatha Baptist in April 2016 and is thrilled to be part of the church family.

Pastor Shearer’s favorite verse is found in Joshua 1:8-9 which says, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have not I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Be not afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord you God is with you wherever you go.”

Ben Krueger

Pastor Ben and his wife Ashley have been married since 2009 and have two sons, and a daughter. He and his wife are Ohio natives, and grew up in Toledo, OH. Pastor Ben graduated from the Moody Bible Institute with a degree in Bible and Missions. Pastor Ben has been serving in full-time ministry since 2009. He is passionate about teaching God's Word and making disciples who can make disciples (2 Tim. 2:2).

One of his favorite Scripture passages is 2 Corinthians 4:16-18:  "So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.”

One of his favorite passages is found in Philippians 2:3-5: Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus

Jon Krull

Jon has been married since 2005 to his wife Kristin and they have been blessed with two beautiful children.  Jon grew up in Columbus, Ohio and graduated from Cedarville University with a Bachelor of Music Education, and a minor in Bible.  He taught music for 10 years at Madison Christian School in Groveport, Ohio, and has been the worship leader at MBC since 2012.  His passion is leading others to know and worship Christ through music!

Jon's favorite passage of Scripture is found in Philippians 3:7-11 which states: "But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith--that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection of the dead."
