Ways To Serve The Community
Encouragement notes to Seniors
Write notes to those in our Church body who may be self-quarantined. A great activity to invite kids to do as well - handmade pictures and notes can be a big encouragement!
Send notes to Nursing Homes
With all visitors being banned from nursing homes, look for a local nursing home and write notes to residents there to brighten their day and let them know they are being prayed for!
Grocery shopping & errands for those at risk
Call any seniors or immuno-compromised people you know and offer to pick-up groceries, run to the bank, pick up prescriptions, etc.
Offer to provide child care
With schools cancelled, there’s a great need for first responders and those working in essential fields to have someone watch their children. Can you help meet this need?
Reach out to your neighbors through community social media
Do you have a neighborhood Facebook group or Nextdoor group? Post a message to your neighbors offering to serve them. Here’s an example letter posted by one of our families
